Established as one of the foremost violinists of his generation, Stefan Milenkovich enjoys a prolific career as an internationally sought-after soloist and recitalist, celebrated for his extraordinary productive longevity, professionalism, and creativity.

He has appeared on multiple occasions in some of the world’s most renowned venues, including Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center (USA), Cadogan Hall (UK), Suntory Hall (Japan), and Italy’s historic theaters such as La Fenice, San Carlo, and Petruzzelli. His extensive orchestral collaborations include the Indianapolis Symphony, Berlin Symphony, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Aspen Chamber Symphony, Helsinki Philharmonic, NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover, Orchestra of Radio-France, Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra, National Orchestra of Belgium, Mexico State Symphony, Orquestra Sinfonica de Estado de Sao Paolo, and the Melbourne and Queensland Symphonies. He has performed under the baton of esteemed conductors such as Sir Neville Marriner, Lorin Maazel, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Daniel Oren, Oksana Lyniv, Erina Yashima, Aziz Shokhakimov, En Shao, Mei-Ann Chen, Eivind Gullberg Jensen, Lera Auerbach, Omer Meir Wellber, and Jessica Cotis.

Milenkovich’s 2026–2027 season highlights include performances with the Noord Nederlands Orkest under Eivind Gullberg Jensen in the Netherlands (including dates in Amsterdam, Leeuwarden, and Groningen), a return performance with the Montenegro Symphony Orchestra, and appearances at the Ohrid Summer Festival with the Profundis Chamber Orchestra. The season also features robust festival, chamber music, and recital engagements, including the BEMUS and NIMUS music festivals in Belgrade and Niš (Serbia), the Round Top Music Festival in Texas, a special gala appearance at the Nikola Tesla Fest in Niagara Falls, and the Varaždin Baroque Evenings performing Piazzolla and Vivaldi's "8 Seasons" with the Varaždin Chamber Orchestra. Additional highlights include the Stradun Classic Festival in Dubrovnik alongside Mischa Maisky, Gordan Nikolić, and Radovan Vlatković, the Samobor Music Festival, performances in Grado and Lopud with pianists Natalija Mladenović and Matea Leko, masterclasses at the Conservatorio di Trieste, and early 2027 appearances with pianist William Wolfram.

Recent performances include highly successful collaborations with the Utah Symphony Orchestra, Prague Symphony Orchestra, Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra, Oklahoma City Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi, and the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra.

Milenkovich started his career at a very young age under the tutelage of his father, later continuing his studies with Igor Ozim in Bern, Switzerland, and with Dorothy DeLay at the Juilliard School in New York. A celebrated prodigy, he performed for U.S. President Ronald Reagan at a Christmas concert in Washington, D.C. at age 10, for Mikhail Gorbachev in Belgrade at 11, and for Pope John Paul II at 14. By age 16, he had performed his 1,000th concert in Monterrey, Mexico. At 17, he won the Young Concert Artists International Competition and became a prizewinner at the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis, the Queen Elisabeth Competition, Hannover Violin Competition, Tibor Varga Competition, Rodolfo Lipizer Competition, Paganini Competition, Ludwig Spohr Competition, and the Yehudi Menuhin Competition.

Deeply committed to international humanitarian causes, Milenkovich was named the First Child Ambassador in the early 1990s. In 2002, he received the "Lifting Up the World with a Oneness-Heart" award for his humanitarian activities, presented to him personally by Sri Chinmoy. He has also participated in numerous UNESCO gala concerts in Paris alongside iconic artists such as Plácido Domingo, Lorin Maazel, Alexis Weissenberg, and Sir Yehudi Menuhin.

A musician of broad stylistic interests, Milenkovich performed with the Grammy-nominated rock band Gorillaz at the Apollo Theater in a critically acclaimed, MTV-broadcast event. Other crossover collaborations include performances with Grammy-nominated lutenist Edin Karamazov, a dynamic acoustic-electric partnership with guitarist Vlatko Stefanovski and his trio, and the launch of "Rock el Clasico"—a musical collaboration with Nele Karajlic—alongside the Serbian National String Team at Dubai EXPO 2022.

Milenkovich’s discography includes four commercial releases on the Italian label Dynamic, featuring J.S. Bach’s Complete Sonatas and Partitas, Paganini’s 24 Caprices, a Paganini Recital, and In cuor più non mi sento. He has released numerous recordings for the Yugoslavian label PGP and recorded Vittorio Giannini’s Piano Trio and Piano Quintet with the Manchester Music Festival.

Firmly dedicated to pedagogy for over two decades, Milenkovich taught in collaboration with Itzhak Perlman at the Juilliard School and the Perlman Music Program, and served as an Associate Professor of Violin at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Still holding the record as the youngest graduate of the Music Academy in Belgrade—having completed his Master's studies at 19—he currently serves as the Artistic Director of the new concert hall in Novi Sad, Serbia, and as Associate Professor of Violin at the University of Novi Sad.
